Psalms: 131, 132

Meditation

Galatians: Paul had not gone to discipleship school with the other Apostles. When he first ventured back to Jerusalem (after the Damascus Road experience), he had to look up Peter, James and John in order to confirm to himself that what he was preaching was, in fact, “kosher”. This is what Paul means when he says “for fear that I was running or had run my race in vain.” (v. 2:2) This portion closes with Peter, James and John extending to Paul the “right hand of fellowship.”(v. 2:9)

Gospel: Mark 6:1-13

New Testament: Galatians 1:18 – 2:10

Old Testament: Isaiah 48:12-21
