Psalm: 10
Meditation
Isaiah: Sadly I can draw parallels between this reading and the “world” in which we find ourselves today. What I write in no way attempts to interpret these words of Isaiah just consider the coincidences. Isaiah speaks of the obvious foolishness, in this case, of making an idol out of wood. The block of wood is not sentient (capable of knowing) but one can burn it for heat, better still, for cooking. But for worship?
Gospel: Mark 3:19b-35

Old Testament: Isaiah 44:9-20
