Psalm: 93, 96

Meditation

Mark: This is a wonderful pericope (scenario, scene, event, or parable) of one of the earlier miracles Jesus performed. The teachers of the Law (and others, I suppose) were more concerned about keeping the legalities of the law than the plight of the paralytic. The paralytic, on the other hand, was much less interested in the theology lesson on the Law, but rather what he (or if not he then certainly by the friends lugging him around) was hoping for was a healing. Jesus attended to both though I don’t know if anyone caught the lesson.

Gospel: Mark 2:1-12

New Testament: Ephesians 2:11-22

Old Testament: Isaiah 41:17-29
