Isaiah: Keep in mind that this time of the year is to recall to remembrance the “manifestation” of the Lord. Speaking through Isaiah the LORD reiterates His special relationship with the Jews. This passage actually serves to buttress my contention of only yesterday. We see here the LORD expressing Himself very tenderly to His people. He is eager to search us out to gather us to Himself (which He does in His Church). Ringing words: “You are My witnesses.” (v. 10) Similar to Matthew 28:18-20.
