Meditation
Isaiah: This entry of Isaiah’s has all the earmarks of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. From first to last this celebration (Isaiah 51) is one organized and given by God to all His faithful ones. Consider verse 7 “You people who have My law in your hearts,” sounds eerily like Jeremiah 31:33. Well it turns out that that describes everyone who has turned his life over to Christ. Other images in this passage hearken to the days of slavery and the great Exodus. “You are my people…” (v. 16)
Gospel: Mark 7:1-23
New Testament: Galatians 3:23-29
Old Testament: Isaiah 51:1-8
