Isaiah: We must not get too literal in our look at the talk of idols. I doubt there is less idol-worship today than in Isaiah’s day. The idols, like a chameleon just change their appearance. We, today, are equally guilty of this violation of the second commandment. God frowns on it as much today as then. Perhaps you should take an inventory of exactly what you just can’t live without. Next, get rid of it to see if it actually kills you.
