Psalm: 28, 29

Meditation

Isaiah: Isaiah describes here more of the same, meaning that wickedness takes its toll on society. This type of depravity is vividly played out in the book of Judges where “in those day Israel had no king; everyone did as he saw fit.” (Judges 17:6) Except now Israel and Judah each had a king and still evil pervaded both kingdoms. Manasseh and Ephraim were the two sons of Joseph who were given to Jacob as sons; each becomes a tribe among the sons Jacob. Things have yet to improve. Come. Lord Jesus!

Gospel: Matthew 3:1-12

New Testament: 2 Peter 2:10-16

Old Testament: Isaiah 9:18 – 10:4
