Psalm: 46

Meditation

Hebrews: The imagery in the opening of this reading brings us back to Mount Sinai to a place and imagery we can scarcely fathom. It seems to me that today there is no fear of God in men’s hearts –in fact no hint of the danger in which they find themselves. Well that was Mount Sinai. The other mount is Mount Zion which represents all the good things of heaven and yet no fear associated with that. Which mount for you?

Gospel: John 3:22-30

New Testament: Hebrews 12:18-29

Old Testament: Isaiah 13:6-13
