Psalm: 143
Meditation
Isaiah: I guess Isaiah didn’t mince words nor was he politically correct. He is telling us even oxen and donkeys know where “their bread is buttered”. They know what’s good for them but people do not. We want our “freedom” to do as we wish. We have little concept of just how powerful and magnificent God is (how could we?). So we have no soundness, “only wounds and welts and open sores”. (v. 6) This description may help us to appreciate ow much we need the promised Savior.
Gospel: Matthew 25:1-13
New Testament: 2 Peter 3:1-10
Old Testament: Isaiah 1:1-19
