Meditation

Matthew: Jesus is addressing the Pharisees, a party which, indeed, does prove helpful to Jesus later. Some of Jesus’ close associates are revealed to e Pharisees, as Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea. Jesus’ problem is that the Pharisees are sticklers for the Law to the exclusion of love (agape) which blinds them to their legalism. The truth is that we are all quietly of that from time to time. This is to serve as a reminder.
