Psalms: 52, 53

Meditation

Luke: “A crowd of many thousands” (v 12:1). Luke is generally more specific so this crowd we may presume to have been quite large. Hypocrisy is nothing more than what we call acting. It is the art of framing a lie look and sound like the truth. Today, we think hypocrisy is simply to say one thing and to do another (usually the opposite). To be sure, it is that and much more; it is also a perversion of the truth. I wish I had space enough to explain what the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit looks like, but, sorry, no room.

Gospel: Luke 11:53 – 12:12

New Testament: Revelation 12:7-17

Old Testament: Genesis 7:1-12
