Psalm: 49

Genesis: The floods abate. After  a period exceeding 6 months, the waters of the great rain had subsided enough to send out a dove to confirm that the flooding was over. The dove is a picker and the raven more of a scavenger. So if there were food for the dove, the earth would be ready for a wider range of vegetation. The curious notion “the LORD remembered Noah (8:1). Let’s understand: the LORD had not forgotten Noah during this time nor did something jar His memory. He remembered Noah much as a grandparent a grandchild, fondly.

Gospel: Luke 12:32-48

New Testament: Revelation 13:11-18

Old Testament: Genesis 8:1-12
