Meditation
Genesis: Ham was the father of Canaan. It was Ham and his posterity who were cursed. What exactly “seeing his father’s nakedness” means is not clear. In most cases it refers to having sexual relations with (in this case Noah’s) the wife or concubine. This was generally thought of as gross disrespect or outright revolt. In this case it appears that Ham gazed only upon his father’s naked body and bragged about it. Noah should be glad not to live in this day and age.
