Psalm: 83

Meditation

Luke: Herod the Tetrarch (or Herod Antipas); if you want to create confusion when speaking of the kings of this region just throw in the name of Herod. People will likely land (or blame) the wrong one. I think most of them took the name Herod in order to shift blame. This particular Herod Antipas owns his responsibility in the death of John the Baptist. This Herod was curious about Jesus, and on the night before He died, Antipas actually met Him, though Jesus had nothing to say!

Gospel: Luke 9:1:17

New Testament: Acts 27:9-26

Old Testament: Jonah 1:17 – 2:10
