Acts: Felix came close to faith. Like many politicians of his day, he supplemented his income with bribes. He would listen to Paul but Paul never offered him a bribe. It gets a little confusing now because Felix is succeeded by Festus as governor. He, in turn, summoned Paul to face some trumped up charges but Paul, because he is a Roman citizen, appeals directly to Caesar. “You have applied to Caesar. To Caesar you will go.” Says Festus.
