Psalm: 119:121-144
Meditation
Acts: This event marks the beginning of the drift from Judaism. Judiazers were zealots for the Law and falsely taught among the Christians that continued strict observance to the Law was not optional. There are some mixed signals here. Paul was stalwart in is opposition to the Judiazers while touring through Asia Minor because strict adherence to the Law is also bondage – so throughout his missionary journeys he staunchly guarded against legalism. But Paul did seek Jewish purification rituals upon his return to Jerusalem. He was after all, a Pharisee.
Gospel: Luke 5:27-39
New Testament: Acts 21:15-26
Old Testament: Hosea 4:11-19
