Psalm: 106

Hosea: Hosea was a prophet to Israel during the waning years of the kingdom. It is not difficult to see why prophets were unpopular to the people or their time. Both Israel (North) and Judah (South) had turned away from God, more like drifted away – perhaps not a conscious rebellion. A little backsliding and suddenly one can’t see right from wrong (reconsider the book of Judges again). Look at the world today! This goes a long way to explaining why people do not believe in God.

Gospel: Luke 6:1-11

New Testament: Acts 21:27-36

Old Testament: Hosea 5:8 – 6:6
