Psalm: 119:49-72
Meditation
Acts: In an almost matter-of-fact approach, Luke tells us the Paul ran into some vigorous opposition in Lystra. It was there that Paul was stoned and left for dead. Well, “what goes around comes around…” might be applied here. Paul was complicit in the stoning of Stephen. Who knows, but Paul may have welcomed being treated like the first martyr. It is an ironic (though not unexpected) turn of events. Happily (Blessedly), Paul lived to see another day.
Gospel: John 11:1-16
New Testament: Acts 14:19-28
