Esther: This story has all the hallmarks of a great romance. Oddly enough, not once is the term “God” or “LORD” appears in its pages. Esther had a protector, Mordecai by name, a near-relative who had assumed guardianship of Esther once her parents had died. As it turns out, this Mordecai also prevented the assassination of King Xerxes also. Esther had been chosen as what might be termed as “chief wife” among Xerxes harem. She was lovely, beautiful and humble. She will play a major role in the redemption/salvation of her people.
