Psalm: 78:1-39
Meditation
Job: A new voice now joins the chorus of those who seek to find fault with Job. Elihu seems to appear out of nowhere but is eager to put in his two-cent’s worth. He is much younger than the others and waits for the elders to finish before beginning his blistering tirades. Like the others before him, Elihu lays all responsibility for all this misfortune at Job’s feet while couching it in different terms, the substance being that Job has some unrighteousness at the root of his calamity.
