Meditation
Acts: We learn a couple of unimportant things in this passage: 1) Jewish Christians did not abandon their Jewish identity when they came to faith in Christ. Aquila and Pricilla, fled Rome because of Claudius’ edict expelling all Jews. So when did the Jewish Christians shed their “Jewishness”? (Probably in 70 A.D. when the Temple was destroyed.) The second unimportant point is that I think of Paul as fearless having that “bring it on” attitude. Here we see the Lord encouraging him forward. His strength having been renewed, Paul remained there in Corinth for 18 months.
