Psalm: 119:25-48

Meditation

John: Happily (or blessedly) verse 46 says: “Can any of you prove me guilty of sin?” Sounds much like yesterday’s reading from Job 13. People of every age (era) see the devil everywhere. Such thinking was true in Jesus’ day too. These people are determined to prove that Jesus is demon-possessed. Jesus had given a stern warning against this attitude in Mark 3:22-30. “He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” (v. 47)

Gospel: John 8:47-59

New Testament: Acts 12:18-25

Old Testament: Job 12:1; 14:1-22
