Psalms: 110, 113

Acts: Peter addresses Aeneas as though he knew him. This Aeneas had been a paralytic for 8 years and got no relief from physicians. Peter then directed him to get up and “take care of your mat.” (v.14) To go out on a limb with my saw in hand, I don’t think Aeneas was a God-fearer, although he could have been, but I doubt he was Jewish or Christian; after all Aeneas was a very Roman name. The point is that Peter healed him in Jesus’ name which then resulted in many souls being saved.

Gospel: John 6:60-71

New Testament: Acts 9:32-43

Old Testament: Job 6:1-4, 8-21
