Psalm: 147

Meditation

Job: Job continues his harangue against God but there is a slight twist here. It seems now Job wants proof of is wrong-doing. If I could pray as Job prayed, my prayers might be much longer and, I trust, quite exhausting. Consider how familiar Job sounds as he speaks to God. His relationship has deepened even since chapter 2 where his approach might be similar to mine. I shudder too pray like this because perhaps I am afraid of what God could do to me, small potatoes that I am.

Gospel: John 8:12-20

New Testament: Acts 11:1-18

Old Testament: Job 9:1; 10:1-9, 16-22
