Psalm: 103

Meditation

John: This passage ranks among the most controversial in all of Scripture: it is at the root of all Christian dissension, which, if it were possible, will prevent Christian unity. The sad truth is that the Lord’s Supper/Communion/Holy Eucharist is supposed to be the point and place of unity – consider the irony – that which was intended to draw us together drives us apart. As you read this section it becomes very difficult to present it as not saying what it says. I may not know my way out of this conundrum so I wait on the Lord. (Very Brave)

Gospel: John 6:52-59

New Testament: Acts 9:19-31

Old Testament: Job 4:1; 5:1-27
