Psalm: 86
Meditation
Acts: This is fun episode, alas but not for Saul (Paul). Ananias had a vision – I rather think it was a vision in a dream much as Joseph of old used to have. Anyway, in this vision Ananias has enough strength of character to question or challenge the Lord about His choice of Saul (Paul) as an instrument of His. Ananias as much as says, “Apparently You haven’t heard what Saul has been doing, but I have. You can do better.” The ironies here are that Saul was blind until his encounter on the road to Damascus and once he encountered Christ his spiritual eyes were opened but then he became physically blind.
