Psalms: 4, 8

Romans: Paul’s heart’s desire is the all Israel will be saved. Their rejection results in the reconciliation of the world – what can their acceptance mean? There could be a host of views of this passage but let us consider the aspect of the perseverance of the saints.  The danger for the Gentiles is little different than that of the Jews as a favored people – a sense of arrogance. If they (the Jews) were cut off because of unbelief, so too will the Gentles be.

Gospel: Matthew 25:14-30

New Testament: Romans 11:13-24

Old Testament: Joshua 2:15-24
