Psalm: 45

Deuteronomy: Since Moses was barred from entering the Promised Land, he was then tasked with commissioning Joshua as his own successor. Moses met with the LORD on Mount Pisgah thought to be in the environs of the Dead Sea. From that vantage point the LORD revealed (showed) to Moses all the territory of the Promised Land. While not recorded as a miracle, no man could survey all that territory without God’s help. Moses’ death marked the end of an era and the close of the Pentateuch.

Gospel: Matthew 24:1-14

New Testament: Romans 9:19-33

Old Testament: Deuteronomy 3:18-28
