Psalm: 69

Meditation

Romans: To say that Israel’s relationship (or covenant) with God is checkered is a gross understatement. From the earliest days Israel’s endeavor was not to seek the LORD’s will but its own. As bad as their sins were, and they were plenty bad, idolatry is chief among them and that violates the very first thing the LORD said in giving the Law. So who’s listening? “All day long I have held out My hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.” (v. 21)

Gospel: Matthew 24:32-51

New Testament: Romans 10:14-21

Old Testament: Deuteronomy  34:1-12
