Psalms: 79, 82

Matthew: Jesus made most unusual friends: Sadducees and Pharisees. While Jesus could not have been a Sadducees for two reasons: 1) all Sadducees were priests and thus were of the sons of Aaron who was descended of Levi. Jesus was born in the tribe of Judah. 2) Sadducees could not accept the concept of resurrection – most necessary for Jesus. If Jesus were to belong to a sect (of those two) He would have been a Pharisee. The Pharisees are not the enemy.

Gospel: Matthew 22:23-40

New Testament: Romans 8:18-25

Old Testament: Numbers 24:12-25
