Psalm: 66

Matthew: Jesus talks about a “wicked and adulterous generation”; not all that much has changed. Now the sign of Jonah, there’s the hope. Jesus may, and undoubtedly was alluding to His own resurrection, but He may also be speaking of the spreading of the gospel. Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh and yet… He obeyed the LORD but the Bible only talks of one of three days it should have taken Jonah to traverse the city. “The Ninevites believed God.” (Jonah 3:5) I conclude the Ninevites picked up the torch of Jonah’s message and kept going.

Gospel: Matthew 16:1-12

New Testament: Galatians 5:1-15

Old Testament: Eccles. 9:11-18
