Psalm: 71

Matthew: This is a section of the Scripture which might be challenging to explain (I refrain from using the term “interpret”). This happens about a week before the Transfiguration where Jesus fully manifests His glory only to Peter, James, and John. Here, however, Peter proclaims “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (v. 16) Jesus states plainly that God revealed this to Him just as He did to Moses centuries before when He gave to Moses the Law. Better stuff to follow.

Gospel: Matthew 16:13-20

New Testament: Galatians 5:16-24

Old Testament: Eccles.11:1-8
