Psalm: 44

Meditation

Ephesians: “For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person – such a man is an idolater – has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God.” v. 5 If the Ten Commandments are written in order of importance (and I think they are, but in fairness, most people do not) then idolatry is at the top of the top 10 list. Idolatry in Canaan was the reason the Jews were told to conquer the land without mercy: slay every living thing to purge the land of its idolatry.

Gospel: Matthew 9:9-17

New Testament: Ephesians 5:1-20

Old Testament: Jeremiah 31:27-34
