Psalms: 114, 117

Meditation

Exodus: These verses talk of Moses’ call by God to go back to Egypt to reclaim Israel for the LORD. The Israelites had been in Egypt for more than 400 years and had long since forgotten all about the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel). At this point the Law had not yet been given thus leaving the covenant between God and Abraham broken (for the Jews had long-since discontinued the rite of circumcision of their male children). In short, the people did not know their God nor how they should act around Him.

Gospel: Luke 10:17-24

New Testament: Hebrews 12:18-29

Old Testament: Exodus 3:1-12
