Psalms: 36, 39
Colossians: The church at Colossae was established during Paul’s third missionary journey by Epaphras, a close companion of Paul. At this writing, Paul is under house arrest in Rome (between 59-61 A.D.). It is possible Paul never went to Colossae. Along with Epaphras were Tychicus (Acts 20:1, 4) and Onesimus (a runaway slave of Philemon). The purpose of the letter was to emphasize the Deity and all-sufficiency of Christ.
